General body meeting means meeting of all the members of the Society then convened as per rules of the Society. The General Body meeting may be of three kinds:
- Annual General Meeting.
- Emergency or Extraordinary Meeting.
- Requisition Meeting.
Procedure of holding meeting of General Body will be follows:
i. Annual General meeting:
The Annual General Meeting shall be held at a convenient place, date and time to be decided by the president in consultation with the Executive Committee. Annual General Meeting shall however, be ordinarily held at the place of Annual Conference.
ii. Emergency or Extraordinary Meeting:
Emergency or Extraordinary meeting shall be called at a convenient place by the Secretary General in consultation with the president. In case the Secretary General, fails to call the meeting within the scheduled time, the president shall have the right to call such a meeting.
iii. A Requisition Meeting:
A Requisition meeting of the General Body shall be called within two weeks of receipt of a requisition signed by at least 10 members stating the business for which the meeting is requisitioned. The time, date and place shall be fixed by the Secretary General in consultation with the president. Decision shall be taken in such meeting by two-third of members present.
